What you'll be doing
As the Clean Transportation Officer , you’ll be at the front lines of the Next Ride program, helping bring electric vehicles and clean transportation education directly to communities across Nova Scotia. You’ll support the planning, coordination, and delivery of hands-on EV showcase events, while building meaningful connections with community groups, organizations, and stakeholders.
In this role, you’ll actively engage the public on electric vehicle adoption and EV charging infrastructure—helping to break down barriers, spark curiosity, and support real-world implementation efforts. You’ll translate evolving technology into clear, approachable information and create welcoming, engaging experiences for people new to EVs.
This is a highly dynamic role that involves frequent travel throughout the province, including some evenings and weekends, using a program vehicle. You’ll thrive if you enjoy being on the move, working with diverse audiences, and bringing creativity, adaptability, and collaboration to everything you do. Familiarity with electric vehicles, including e-bikes, is an asset, but curiosity, enthusiasm, and a passion for clean transportation are just as important.

- Minimum of one year of experience in customer service or a related field

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanor
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and presentation tools such as PowerPoint or Canva
- Knowledge of or experience with electric vehicles and/or low-carbon transportation is an asset
