About the role

HORIZON CHURCH

Position Title: Student Ministries

Pastor (K-12)

Regent Christian Academy Society serves children and families across our campus schools, online

school, and early learning programs. We focus on strong academics, whole-child

development, and a Christ-centred environment where students grow in character

and purpose. Our teams work hard, care deeply, and move fast to support a

growing and dynamic school community.

As the spiritual heart of this

community, Horizon Church is dedicated to leading people into a growing

relationship with Jesus Christ. We bring the RCAS mission to life through

vibrant worship, life-changing discipleship, and local outreach. Whether

through our weekend services or mid-week ministries, our team is committed to

"caring deeply" for our congregation and "moving fast" to

meet the needs of our city, creating a grace-filled environment where everyone

can discover their God-given purpose.

Overview: This is

a full-time pastoral role overseeing student ministries at Regent Christian

Academy on behalf of Horizon Church. Regent Christian Academy is a ministry of

Horizon, and so this role works across both the school and the church as one

connected expression. You’ll be leading the spiritual formation of students

from Kindergarten through Grade 12, helping them grow in their faith and take

ownership of it as they mature. This is a unique opportunity to step in and

build something that isn’t fully formed yet. The goal is to create a clear and

consistent discipleship pathway for students, where what they experience at

school and at church reinforces each other.

Why This Role Matter

  • You will work with church and school leadership to

help shape the spiritual direction of students

  • You will help build a strong connection between

church, school, and families so students experience one consistent message

  • You will facilitate the development of a clear

discipleship pathway from early childhood through graduation

  • You will invest in and support the development of

student leaders who live out their faith in real ways

  • You will help guide students from belief to ownership

    to a sense of calling

    pathway (K-7, 8-12 beyond graduation)

  • Establish clear rhythms:

weekly, seasonal, and annual ministry moments

  • Would work with Pastoral

    and priorities

4.

Drive Discipleship (K-12)

  • Build and lead a cohesive

discipleship approach across Kindergarten to Grade 12.

  • Establish systems for

mentoring, small groups, and student-led communities that support

    spiritual growth.

  • Ensure clear progression:

    • K-7: foundation and

      understanding

    • 8-12: ownership and

      leadership

  • Create consistent

opportunities for students to engage with their faith through both
