Job Description:
The Mental Health & Addiction Treatment Support Worker - Remote for EHN Outpatient Services is responsible for supporting clients and staff in the day-to-day running of programming across the Network. Working with all outpatient staff, Mental Health & Addiction Treatment Support Worker - Remotes will provide support for clients who attend outpatient programming by providing crisis intervention, including relapse prevention planning, safety planning, and risk assessments. The Mental Health & Addiction Treatment Support Worker - Remote facilitates the onboarding of clients from inpatient and outpatient programming to Aftercare and aids the client in developing a recovery plan. The Mental Health & Addiction Treatment Support Worker - Remote also monitors Wagon app usage, assists clients with technical issues, and case manages clients within the sober monitoring program by reaching out to the clients or their referents based on the results.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist clients in developing and updating goals, values and abstinence goals in the Wagon app for clients.
- Provide empathetic and professional crisis support to clients.
- Keep primary counsellors informed of any client concerns or crisis management via email and KIPU notes.
- Chart all clinical interactions with clients and referents in the Electronic Medical Records system (KIPU)
- Support clients who are unable to access their online group or the Wagon app with technical support.
- Track any technical issues and provide them to Wagon Product Manager.
- Facilitate individual and group onboarding sessions for clients starting Aftercare.
- Monitors clients in the sober monitoring programs, informing referents and clinicians of positive results.
- Facilitates group sessions, as needed.
- Assists clients with attending virtual events such as workshops or Cake Night.
- Assists the clinical and client care team in ensuring outcomes measures are completed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Staff will work various shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays and on-call.
Education
- Post-secondary education or relevant experience
- Crisis Intervention Training
Skills
- Experience in addictions and mental health field
- Experience working in an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience using Zoom and Microsoft Teams
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records systems
- Experience with mental health Crisis Support
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Detail-oriented
