The Organization

Based in the progressive Guildford area of Surrey, the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board (FVREB) is an association of over 5,200 real estate professionals who live and work in the BC communities of North Delta, Surrey, White Rock, Langley, Abbotsford, and Mission. The FVREB marked its 100-year anniversary in 2021.

The IDEAL Candidate

We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Manager of Professional Development to lead the design, delivery, and expansion of our professional learning offerings. This role is ideal for someone who is tech savvy, thrives in a collaborative environment, has a passion for adult education, and is driven to make a meaningful impact.

What You’ll Do

Produce or cause to be produced communications and learning content in response to organizational objectives which promote the FVREB’s value proposition, augment education and training opportunities for members, and render transparent the FVREB’s commitment to preserve the integrity of the profession and its doctrine to protect the public interest.

  • Develop and implement education and membership plans aligned with organizational goals

  • Lead strategic planning and operations for the Professional Development department

  • Oversee the creation and delivery of professional learning content and member events

  • Build and maintain partnerships with instructors, providers, and other Boards

  • Supervise and mentor departmental staff, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities

  • Monitor industry trends to inform program development and member engagement

  • Manage departmental budgets, resources, and reporting

  • Represent the organization at industry events, meetings, and collaborative initiatives

  • Liaise and negotiate with delegates of other Boards, real estate association(s), and providers in the sharing, development, and delivery of professional learning and member services.

  • Maintain and support government, institutional, and academic relationships, promoting the advancement of the profession and the sharing of knowledge.

  • Evaluate and improve the availability of professional learning products, performing ongoing analysis to optimize member experience, while addressing potential redundancies and opportunities.

What You’ll Need:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in adult learning program development, plus at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role

  • Strong skills in curriculum design, event planning, and stakeholder engagement

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Extensive familiarity with various interactive learning platforms or software and/or LMS implementations

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills and a comfort level present to and engaging with large groups

  • Strong organizational and resource coordination skills, with an innate ability to adapt to change

  • Experience developing strategic plans and corporate-level policies

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
