Key Responsibilities
- Perform assembly or modification soldering of electronic components, including rework and repairs
- Follow detailed written instructions, drawings & specifications for hands-on fabrication and production assembly of electronic cables and wire harnesses.
- Hand and machine crimp terminals and insert terminals into connectors
- Follow written work instructions and Engineering Change notices to complete required tasks
- Achieve and adhere to a high level of quality of work produced
- Electronics assembly
- Follow established procedures, safety guidelines, and ESD handling practices
- Perform minor assembly or modification tasks on electronic components, when requested
Essential Skills And Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in electronic assembly, including fine-tip hand soldering, touch-up, and rework of printed circuit boards using both surface-mount (SMT) and through-hole components (required).
- Practical training and experience with ESD procedures and operation of essential tools such as microscopes, soldering irons, and precision assembly equipment.
- Strong PCB assembly skills, with the ability to work accurately from BOMs, schematics, and drawings while meeting IPC-A-600/610 workmanship standards.
- Demonstrated manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination for handling small, delicate components.
- Strong English comprehension for reading, interpreting, and following technical instructions.
- Ability to follow direction, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with team members.
- Adaptable and responsive to changing production priorities, supporting a positive team environment.
- Able to maintain focus, work independently, and complete assigned tasks with accuracy and consistency.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime when required to meet production schedules.
- Experience with selective soldering machine operation is an asset.
- Formal training or certification in IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721, and J-STD-001 is strongly preferred.
