About the role

This remote mentorship opportunity is ideal for an experienced animator who excels in logo and title animation, and enjoys helping others learn. The mentee is a film and video editor seeking to expand their knowledge of logo animation for personal projects, specifically for use on Instagram. The focus will be on simple, effective animation techniques and best practices for engaging title sequences. You will provide tailored guidance, feedback, and practical advice to help the mentee achieve their creative goals.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and guide a beginner in logo and title animation, focusing on simple, impactful techniques suitable for social media
- Review the mentee’s current skills and identify areas for improvement
- Provide step-by-step instruction on animation workflows, software tools, and creative approaches
- Offer feedback on practice projects and suggest ways to enhance animation quality and engagement
- Share resources, tips, and industry insights relevant to logo animation
- Communicate regularly via remote sessions, adapting your teaching style to the mentee’s learning pace and needs
Skills And Requirements
- Proven experience in logo and title animation, with a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant work
- Proficiency in industry-standard animation software (such as After Effects, Adobe Animate, or similar)
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, accessible manner to beginners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a supportive and patient mentoring approach
- Experience with social media content creation, especially Instagram, is a plus
- Reliable internet connection and availability for remote mentoring sessions
- Previous mentoring or teaching experience is advantageous but not required
