Tacten is seeking professional, energetic, and forward-thinking HSE Coordinators to support our Fall TA Season in Fort McMurray, AB.

Dates August 28, 2026 - October 2, 2026 Temporary, Full-Time Project/Turnaround Support Fly-in-fly-out from all major hubs in Canada Camp provided
Are you passionate about safety? Do you have extensive experience working in the safety field and are interested in taking the next step in your career? If so, apply today!
Supervise, coordinate, and manage all aspects of safety on project site(s) to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, as well as company policies. Actively promote a strong safety culture through toolbox talks, safety awareness initiatives, and employee engagement. Deliver comprehensive safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors, focusing on safety protocols, procedures, and emergency preparedness. Investigate and document workplace incidents, near-misses, and safety violations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable safety rules and regulations,and leverage strong negotiation and reasoning skills to influence and guide others toward effective and acceptable safety solutions. NCSO Certification required. OHS Certification would be an asset but not required. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a field safety-related discipline. Heavy industrial operations experience is an asset. A proven track record in participation of safety management processes e.g. safety committees and working groups and heavy industrial auditing and inspection experience. You are an excellent planner, organizer, with refined interpersonal and communication skills and have demonstrated computer competency with Microsoft Office software.

Our core service offering includes electrical, welding/fabrication, pipe-fitting, insulation, asbestos abatement, hoisting/rigging, painting and coating, inspection, shutdown/turn around support, removal of equipment or hazards, confined space (including rescue service), furnace and burner de-slags, nuts and bolts removal/replacement, and class surveys.
