FULL TIME TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE WORKER

This position requires a versatile, multi-skilled, maintenance technician to work Monday to Friday, with rotating, scheduled on-call duties

Rate of Pay: $37.150 – $39.964

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years working as a Building Operator or Licensed Trade
  • Demonstrated ability to perform institutional maintenance and repairs, involving; electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating, refrigeration, steam boiler and ventilation systems, carpentry, painting etc.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Focused on customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technical problem solving skills and methodology
  • Self-starter, self-motivated; able to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated team player
  • Demonstrated excellence in attendance
  • Above average computer skills are required
  • A valid driver’s license is required
  • Must provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella and varicella (chicken pox) and documented proof of 2 Covid 19 Vaccinations
  • Must provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing within the previous 3 months

Main Functions of Job:

  • Maintenance and repair of all electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air-conditioning, steam boilers, water heaters, and ventilation systems
  • Perform alterations and repairs to the physical building, its fixtures and furnishings
  • Respond to the “work order” requests of all Hospital Departments and Services (customers) by performing repairs to their equipment or areas
  • Complete preventive maintenance service and inspection work orders
  • Daily monitoring and use of BAS and CMMS systems
  • Must work in compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety legislation, guidelines, standards, policies, procedures, and practices
