About the Role
We’re looking for a people-first leader who brings an entrepreneurial mindset to everything they do. In this role, you’ll drive business results, develop store teams, and create exceptional guest experiences.
Reporting to the President, the District Manager provides leadership across sales, operations, and people management. You are responsible for driving performance and operational excellence while partnering closely with Store Managers, Head Office, and HR to execute strategic initiatives and foster a values-based culture.
By modelling JAK’s values of Caring, Hospitality, Integrity, and Learning, you will work with the Director of People and Culture to build a high-performing environment that drives strong eNPS and business goals. You will integrate these values into company-wide strategies, ensuring success across five key areas: People, Brand, Customer, Operations, and Metrics.
Through regular store visits and active coaching, you will ensure high performance and maintain efficient, two-way communication between store teams and Head Office.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Bring the JAK’s vision to life and foster a culture where people feel supported and motivated.
- Grow and develop future leaders through hands-on coaching, mentorship, and clear development plans
- Partner with HR to hire great people, support performance, and build strong, promotable teams
- Create an inclusive, positive environment that reflects JAK’s values and fosters strong team connection
Business & Sales Leadership
- Use sales, KPIs, and trends to guide decisions and drive results
- Support Store Managers with coaching, tools, and feedback to help their teams succeed
- Bring an entrepreneurial mindset. Develop creative strategies to drive sales and improve performance
- Collaborate with Procurement and HR to keep stores aligned and set up for success
Guest Experience & Brand Promises
- Partner with the Director of Procurement to deliver a unique product selection
- Build teams that deliver warm, genuine, and consistent service
- Support and execute initiatives that elevate the in-store experience and strengthen brand loyalty
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate in a clear, thoughtful, and approachable way that builds trust
- Build strong relationships across stores, leadership, and Head Office
- Contribute to strategic conversations with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
Operations & Accountability

Support stores in staying organized, efficient, and responsive in day-to-day operations

Encourage strong habits around planning, prioritization, and the use of JAK's tools

Lead with accountability. Model follow-through, and be there for your teams Work closely with all departments to support shared goals and consistent execution
What You Bring

5+ years of retail leadership experience (multi-store is a plus)

An entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on results

Strong leadership skills with a passion for coaching and developing people

Confidence using sales data and KPIs to make decisions

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Organized, adaptable, and hands-on
Salary
$85000 to $95000 plus benefits, perks and performance incentives.
