  • Ensure the proper use and safety of members and guests using the Flow Rider and Waterslides at the H2O Adventure + Fitness Centre - proper demonstration may be required!

  • Work as part of a staff/volunteer team, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment

  • Provide excellent customer service and create an enjoyable experience, while building healthy relationships with our members

  • As part of the Aquatics team you may also have the opportunity to assist in YMCA swim lessons or participate in programs, as needed

We'd love to hear from people with:

  • The ability to commit to a 2-hour shift twice a week

  • Bronze Cross Certification

  • Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C

  • YMCA Canada Swim Instructor or Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor an asset

  • National Lifeguard Certification-Pool Option an asset

  • National Lifeguard Certification-Waterpark Option an asset

  • Provide 3 references of a professional nature (e.g. Employer, Supervisor or Colleague)
  • Provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than six (6) months preceding your start date. The YMCA will provide applicable instructions and paperwork.
