Senior Project Manager – IT & Security Services
Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid) Contract: August 2026 – June 2027
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – IT & Security Services to lead the successful delivery of complex IT and cybersecurity initiatives. This role is ideal for a seasoned project management professional with a strong background in enterprise IT, infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and IT operations. You will be responsible for managing projects from initiation through completion, working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure successful delivery while meeting organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of IT and security-related projects. Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and project documentation. Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria. Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies. Ensure projects adhere to IT governance, cybersecurity, compliance, and quality standards. Provide regular project status updates, performance metrics, and executive-level reporting. Facilitate communication across cross-functional teams and drive stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle. Support organizational change management and ensure a smooth transition of completed projects into operational support.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 7 years managing complex IT projects. Demonstrated experience delivering projects across multiple technology domains, including: IT Infrastructure Cybersecurity Cloud Services Enterprise Applications IT Operations Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid approaches. PMP certification (or equivalent) is required. Proven experience managing vendors, budgets, project timelines, and cross-functional teams. Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional certifications such as ITIL, PRINCE2, or CISSP are considered an asset. Experience delivering projects within regulated industries, such as utilities, energy, financial services, or government, is highly desirable.
