Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with a strong focus on cybersecurity initiatives. This individual will be part of the Government of Canada delivery team that is accountable for the successful delivery of the security solutions for the Bell Business Markets (BBM) team.
As a Cyber Security BA, you will engage with a variety of stakeholders and work cross-functionally with other product owners, solution specialists, developers, and management to deliver excellence within our program. You will assist in guiding both product and development teams in defining, developing, and deploying security focused solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations. You will work with teams to ensure that best practices for process and quality standards are maintained to foster a culture of “enhanced security solutions” within the organization.
Note: A Government of Canada PSPC security clearance at level SECRET (Level II) is required for this role
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with both internal and external teams, partners and stakeholders to decompose high-level information into detailed business requirements
- Facilitate work sessions, focus groups, and coordinate/conduct application demonstrations as required
- Contribute to the quality of design and implementation by identifying risks and issues and effectively managing and communicating them to all stakeholders
- Support the development of a prioritized product backlog, including the development of user stories, acceptance criteria and scenarios from which the development team can use to start building software applications
- Engage in day-to-day activities with the solution teams as required. This includes, but is not limited to: attending daily scrum meetings, leading refinement sessions, engaging with the development team, and providing direction/focus
- Provide support for customer issues and follow up on a timely basis to ensure the problem has been resolved
- Make recommendations that go beyond the initial requests
- Provide input to the test plans, sign off on test cases, and actively participate in end-to-end (E2E) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) knowing when to reach out to the team to seek clarity to ensure that our customers have confidence in our presented solutions
- Write and edit user procedural documentation such as user guides and training manuals related to the build of portals that facilitate Bell interactions with their customers across a variety of contracts and platforms
- Perform quality control checks and concisely document all problems and their resolution in the ticketing system
Critical Qualifications
- Experience in business analysis - collecting, documenting and articulating requirements via tools such as Gitlab
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with aggressive timelines and changing priorities
- Ability to work with change/ambiguity, in a competitive environment where priorities change frequently
- Proven problem-solving ability with complex, technical and abstract concepts
- A team player with the confidence to challenge and escalate when necessary
- Government of Canada, Secret clearance is required and eligibility to obtain and undergo additional screening and background checks
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset for interaction with internal and external stakeholders
- Previous experience in the telecommunication industry and Government of Canada contracts is an asset
