Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Software Architect to join our team and take on two critical responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain consistent software development standards, engineering processes, and best practices
- Define and communicate comprehensive security policies, guidelines, and best practices aligned with the industry standard framework for our SaaS engineering organization.
This role is pivotal in evolving our engineering maturity and ensuring our SaaS platform meets the highest standards of security and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Software Development Standards and Excellence Leadership
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive software development standards and best practices across our SaaS engineering organization
- Participation in developer & architecture guilds, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and innovation
- Champion engineering processes that promote efficiency, quality, and security in our software development lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams in adopting and adhering to established standards and best practices.
Engineering Security Policies and Enterprise Security Alignment
- Collaborate to establish, communicate, and enforce a set of internal security policies, guidelines, and best practices aligned with the enterprise security and application security
- Participate in regular assessments of our SaaS platform's security posture
- Collaborate with enterprise and application security teams to implement and maintain security policies across engineering measures across our SaaS product platform offerings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of hands-on technical experience in software architecture
- Exposure to FedRamp, CMMC, or similar cybersecurity standards and their implementation in SaaS environments
- Experience in establishing and maintaining software development standards and best practices.
- Knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices, particularly in AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure environments
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, CI/CD practices, and DevSecOps principles
- Written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
- Certified CMMC Professional (CCP) or Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud certifications
