This position is intended for a currently enrolled student in the Graduate Program of Sound Recording at the Schulich School of Music.

Hiring Unit:
Communications & Production

Position Summary:

  • Maintains the schedule of student live sound technicians according to concert production requirements;
  • Maintain a database of concerts where a live sound technician was required, including the name of the concert, date, venue and technician assigned for payroll processing and tracking;
  • Demonstrated live sound reinforcement techniques and best practices to student live sound technician;
  • Other related administrative duties.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

Must have full working knowledge of Schulich School of Music concert halls/event spaces and associated audio equipment including digital audio workstation software. Knowledge of standard stereo microphone techniques; be client-focused, pro-active and professional. Must be able to work under strict timelines. Ability to communicate effectively in English written and spoken.
