We are looking for a Process engineer or scientist specialized in photolithography to support the fabrication of microelectronic devices on silicon or III-V materials. You will work closely with product engineers to develop, optimize, and control manufacturing processes, while also leading continuous improvement projects.

Your responsibilities:

  • Comply with and promote workplace health and safety measures;
  • Provide technical support for photolithography processes used in the fabrication of products on silicon or III-V materials;
  • Collaborate in resolving process-related issues and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions;
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by applying and promoting the Six Sigma methodology in all activities;
  • Establish and maintain automated process control mechanisms;
  • Participate in the development, qualification and transfer of processes to production;
  • Propose and conduct experimental studies to improve or develop manufacturing processes;
  • Communicate results through reports, presentations, and team discussions;
  • Establish and meet project timelines;
  • Train and support the production personnel;
  • Comply with the documentation system, change management process, quality policy, and new product introduction process;
  • Participate in the selection, acquisition, and qualification of new equipment;
  • Stay informed about relevant developments in manufacturing processes and equipment;
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment;
  • Perform other related tasks, as needed.

Your qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (physics, electrical, chemical) in physics or in chemistry;
  • Master’s degree, PhD or additional relevant experience will be considered an asset;
  • At least 1 year of experience working with microelectronic device manufacturing processes;
  • Understanding of microfabrication processes (photolithography, metrology, wet etching, dry etching, diffusion/oxidation, CVD, metallization, ionic implantation, etc.);
  • Experience with processes/tests used to manufacture devices on silicon or III-V materials;
  • Understanding of the Six Sigma methodology and of statistical process control (green belt certification, an asset);
  • Project management experience, an asset;
  • Good organization skills, rigor and ability to work in teams;
  • Strong proficiency in French (spoken and written) is required to operate effectively in a French-speaking work environment
  • Excellent skills in English (spoken and written) are also necessary for technical and international communications
