Job Description Lead Hand Mechanic
$50.60/hour - $55.20/hour (depending on experience)
Job Description A Toronto-based construction company with a legacy spanning nearly a century is seeking a skilled Lead Hand Mechanic to join their team. As a pioneer in their field, they've built a strong reputation for excellence and reliability in paving and road construction. With a focus on quality and customer satisfaction, they're looking for a talented mechanic to lead their team and ensure equipment is running smoothly.
- Diagnose and repair heavy-duty construction equipment and trucks
- Coach, mentor, and train employees within the shop
- Work closely with the Equipment Shop Manager to ensure equipment is repaired and maintained by applicable deadlines
- Visit job sites for equipment repair as needed
Qualifications
- Registered licensed 310T mechanic through Skilled Trades Ontario
- Experience working on Caterpillar and Navistar equipment is an asset
- Experience fabricating/welding is an asset
- Some supervisory experience is required
- Valid G class driver's license with an acceptable driver's abstract
- DZ or AZ license is an asset
