Job Description Lead Hand Mechanic

$50.60/hour - $55.20/hour (depending on experience)

Job Description A Toronto-based construction company with a legacy spanning nearly a century is seeking a skilled Lead Hand Mechanic to join their team. With a focus on quality and customer satisfaction, they're looking for a talented mechanic to lead their team and ensure equipment is running smoothly.

• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty construction equipment and trucks
• Coach, mentor, and train employees within the shop
• Work closely with the Equipment Shop Manager to ensure equipment is repaired and maintained by applicable deadlines
• Visit job sites for equipment repair as needed

Qualifications

• Registered licensed 310T mechanic through Skilled Trades Ontario
• Experience working on Caterpillar and Navistar equipment is an asset
• Experience fabricating/welding is an asset
• Some supervisory experience is required
• Valid G class driver's license with an acceptable driver's abstract
• DZ or AZ license is an asset
