Title: Quality Technician (Day Shift)
Reports To**:** Quality Assurance Manager with dotted line to Quality Supervisor
Job Responsibilities

Run CMM Machines
-
Perform mechanical first off/final inspections
-
Visual inspection of HPG customer products
-
Follow strict inspection protocol in performing inspection
-
Analyze data to ensure conformance of parts to design intent, dimensional requirements, blueprints and other specifications
-
Communicate inspections results to other departments within the company
-
Calibration of measuring equipment
-
Final product packaging
-
Provide training for new employees as required
-
Disposition non-conforming material updating NCMR systems
-
Develop timelines and ensure timely completion of all quality requirements
-
Analysis of internal (trends, scrap, SPC, etc..) and customer to drive actions focused on continuous improvement
-
Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques
-
CMM report interpretation
-
Ensure timely completion of all quality requirements/documents
-
Perform other tasks within the department as required.
Requirements
- Experience in drawing interpretations and geometric dimensional tolerances.
- Understands drawing datum structure and manufacturing methods.
- Experience in part layout and inspection setup, use of sine bars etc. preferred.
- Experience in gauging methods, gauge selection, calibration, and gauge R and R’s preferred
- Ability to take precise measurements using specialized equipment and techniques.
- Critical thinker, strong ability to use common sense and make decisions.
- Strong sense of accountability. Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Read operating and quality reports to understand technical and operational information about facilities, processes and equipment.
