Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Professionalism in customer service. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Transport and handle dangerous goods. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles). Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Type of trucking and equipment: Roll-off truck. Liquid bulk. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Provincial/territorial. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Organized. Reliability. Team player. Hardworking. Screening questions: Do you have experience working in this field?.
