We are looking for a highly motivated student to join our team! The successful candidate will support the corporate accounting and reporting functions for IMCO. The role will play a key part in supporting the preparation of financial statements for IMCO Pool funds and IMCO Corporate, our IMCO annual report assisting with the year-end audit and participating in the month-end financial close process. The successful candidate will be focused on executing efficient, effective and scalable processes and controls over financial reporting making a significant contribution to IMCO’s current “best in class” reporting objective of integrity through transparent disclosure of financial information to management, Board of Directors and our external stakeholders.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Support the preparation of IMCO Pool funds, IMCO Corporate annual financial statements and IMCO annual report
  • Collaborate with auditors to fulfill requirements of the annual audit process
  • Liaise with the Custodians and Investment Operations team to obtain supporting information related to financial reporting of investment vehicles
  • Assist with the preparation of subsidiary annual financial statements
  • Assist with preparation of financial information for regulatory reporting
  • Liaise with Tax team and provide information for annual tax returns
  • Liaise with Legal and Legal entity management teams for maintaining documentation on client and IMCO entities
  • Perform month-end financial close tasks, as needed such as the preparation of accounting journal entries and reconciliations related to cash, accruals, capital assets and prepaid assets
  • Support accounts payable function including review of expense reports and various accounts payable processes
  • Support initiatives to improve processes and operational efficiency
  • Other projects and responsibilities as assigned
