About the role
Temporary position for 12 months.
As a property and casualty insurance agent, you help serve, prospect for, solicit, and develop and maintain business relationships with members and clients. You help sell general insurance products and services through multiple distribution channels based on member/client needs and current strategies and practices. You promote and sell property and casualty coverage to individual clients. You analyze member/client needs and use your persuasive skills to help them choose the right coverage. You ensure member/client satisfaction and service quality in accordance with the organization’s standards and procedures. You help develop and maintain business relationships, analyze member/client needs and develop custom solutions. You help develop solutions using your analytical skills and discipline-specific knowledge. The ability to learn quickly and use technology effectively is essential. You assist current and potential members and clients. You represent the organization and help negotiate agreements with clients. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Serve members and clients, assess their needs, promote insurance products and help members and clients choose coverage
- Prepare quotes and issue insurance contracts
- Follow up on files, analyze renewals requiring special underwriting, and correct contracts as needed
- Respond to information requests and amend contracts to ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Develop business partnerships to generate referrals.

What you bring to the table
- High school diplomas in a related field
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
