The Opportunity:

How You Will Contribute:

This role will report into QA team supporting Product Security and Solutions Validation. You will develop Python-based automation scripts and libraries for feature testing. You may also enhance existing tests currently running in our CI regressions.

We are seeking for a motivated Artificial Intelligence Intern to join our team at Ciena, a global leader in networking systems, services, and software. As an intern, you'll contribute to innovative AI-driven projects, focusing on advanced routing systems, and automation. You will collaborate with experts to develop, test, and implement AI based solutions that enhance our efficiency. Ideal candidates are passionate about AI, have strong analytical skills, and are eager to learn and grow in a cutting-edge technology environment.

The Must Haves:

• Working towards completion of bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field of studies.
• Foundational knowledge of basic networking and SW development.
• Basic knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Python or other object-oriented programming language.

Assets:

• Experience with Bitbucket, GitHub, and code-commit process are pluses.

Team-player but able to work independently.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $38.00

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.
