The Role
The Human Resources Coordinator supports HR operations and helps build scalable, efficient systems across the employee lifecycle. This role has a strong focus on HR technology and process design, supporting implementation and optimization of the Dayforce/Ceridian recruitment and onboarding system, while also supporting recruitment, onboarding, offboarding for employees, volunteers and student placements, compliance, reporting, payroll/attendance processes, performance cycles, and office coordination. The Human Resources Coordinator will also provide administrative support when/if needed.
Key Responsibilities (May Include but are not limited to):
- HRIS implementation & optimization: Support rollout, configuration, and ongoing optimization of the Dayforce/Ceridian recruitment and onboarding system; assist with data migration, testing, audits, documentation, and user training; develop workflows, templates, and reporting dashboards within the HRIS.
- Recruitment & onboarding: Build and maintain standardized recruitment processes (job posting templates, interview guides, candidate tracking workflows); coordinate full-cycle recruitment in partnership with hiring managers; maintain onboarding programs that ensure a consistent and engaging new-hire experience.
- HR policies & compliance: Maintain accurate employee records and support compliance with employment legislation and internal standards; serve as a company representative on the Joint Health and Safety Committee and complete required training; assist in audits (e.g., QAM and accreditation).
- Payroll & attendance management: Support payroll preparation by collecting and validating employee data; maintain attendance and time-tracking systems to ensure accuracy and timely reporting; provide payroll back-up as required.
- Performance management: Coordinate performance review timelines and support managers in using the tools effectively.
- HR metrics, reporting & dashboards: Develop and maintain HR dashboards tracking key metrics (turnover, recruitment, onboarding effectiveness, attendance trends, performance outcomes); analyze HR data to identify trends/risks/opportunities; provide regular reporting to leadership to support strategic decision-making.
- Agency & administration support: Support company events, meetings, and internal communications as required; help ensure a safe, professional, and efficient working environment for employees; provide back-up to the admin office when required.
- Other duties as required and assigned
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- CHRP designation
- 3–5 years of experience in HR coordination or generalist support roles
- 1+ year recruiting experience in the tech sector (via staffing agency or internal recruiting team)
- Experience with Dayforce/Ceridian considered an asset
- Strong interest in HR technology, data analytics, and process design
- HRIS experience (implementation experience is a strong advantage)
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Comfortable teaching/coaching and supporting others to grow
- High proficiency with Excel/Sheets, reporting tools, and data visualization platforms
