Job#: 3022797 Job Description: Senior Strategic Delivery Consultant Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Senior Strategic Delivery Consultant with 5+ years of experience. This role focuses on strategic project delivery, executive communication, and large scale initiatives across data and analytics, platform migrations, digital transformation, and or ERP programs.

This position goes beyond traditional project management execution and requires a consulting mindset, strong stakeholder influence, and the ability to frame, defend, and communicate delivery strategy at the executive level.

Responsibilities: Strategic Delivery and Project Leadership Lead end to end delivery of complex, high risk initiatives aligned to business objectives from inception through execution and closure. Develop and articulate strategic delivery plans, delivery approaches, trade offs, and recommendations for senior leadership. Create and maintain core delivery artefacts in accordance with the organization’s delivery framework. Manage initiatives across multiple delivery models including Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid. Partner with internal teams, vendors, and other delivery leaders to develop project estimates using standard costing tools such as AFE.

Stakeholder and Executive Engagement Define project governance, executive communication cadence, and decision forums. Engage and influence senior stakeholders including executives and steering committees. Exercise a high degree of autonomy in decision making, shaping delivery direction and outcomes. Onboard and lead delivery resources, managing capacity, priorities, and performance.

Financial Management and Health Reporting Own project financials including budgeting, forecasting, and variance management. Present concise, executive ready reporting on delivery status, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions. Proactively surface trade offs and recommendations to support informed decision making.

Risk, Controls and Compliance Manage change control, risk mitigation, and delivery governance processes. Ensure compliance with delivery standards, reporting cadence, and performance metrics.

Capability Development Contribute to the Project Management Centre of Excellence by sharing best practices, mentoring peers, and supporting continuous improvement of delivery standards.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Professional certification such as PMP or CSM considered an asset
  • 5 plus years of experience delivering complex IT initiatives, ideally in a consulting or hybrid consulting client environment
  • Experience across ERP, Digital Transformation, Data and Analytics, or large scale platform migrations
  • Proven experience leading initiatives with budgets exceeding 5 million dollars
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to synthesize information, frame strategy, and defend recommendations
  • Experience managing delivery end to end including business rollout and change enablement
  • Deep understanding of delivery methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams, vendors, and cross functional stakeholders
  • Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to operate under ambiguity and deliver outcomes in high visibility environments
