What You'll Bring
- 5–8 years of experience in strategy / management consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy roles – either at external firms or in-house teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex, ambiguous challenges into structured, actionable components.
- Hypothesis-driven approach to data analysis, with the ability to extract insights and visualize to tell a compelling story.
- Advanced financial modeling and research skills to size new opportunities and develop business cases.
- Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal — with the ability to clearly structure messages and influence stakeholders.
- High level of initiative and ownership; thrives in a small, fast-paced team environment.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience in financial services, information services, or digital industries is an asset.
Impact You'll Make We are seeking an Advisor, reporting to the Director of Strategy & Panning. This position is responsible for supporting the annual strategic planning process, as well as the execution of TransUnion Canada's strategic initiatives.
Core Responsibilities Strategy Development (40%)
- Lead and support strategic initiatives focused on growth, transformation, and competitive positioning.
- Conduct structured problem-solving and data-driven analysis to develop actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment and buy-in for strategic decisions.
- Produce high-quality, executive-ready slides that clearly convey strategic narratives and recommendations.
Annual Planning (30%)
- Drive the annual planning cycle by partnering with business leaders to define and prioritize strategic objectives.
- Develop frameworks and materials that guide the organization’s planning discussions.
- Facilitate alignment across teams to ensure clarity of goals and execution plans.
- Support executive-level reviews and updates throughout the planning process.
Execution & Monitoring (30%)
- Track progress against strategic priorities and identify risks or roadblocks to delivery.
- Prepare executive-level reporting and dashboards to provide visibility into initiative status.
- Escalate issues and recommend interventions to accelerate progress.
This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
