Position: Business Transformation Advisor Reports to: Director, Agile & Business Transformation Position Term: Full Time Temporary (12-month contract) Primary Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Workplace Type: Hybrid Job Purpose The Business Transformation Advisor is a trusted strategic advisor who works closely with senior leaders to identify challenges, craft effective strategies, and implement impactful solutions that drive operational excellence and business growth. They will collaborate with senior leaders in the ministries to assess critical business issues, deliver actionable insights, and lead transformation initiatives that produce measurable results. This position is perfect for a strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills, outstanding client relationship management expertise, and a strong commitment to creating value.
Responsibilities
- Consultation and Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand business challenges, objectives, and workflows.
- Conduct thorough analyses of current processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Strategic Recommendations:
- Develop and present actionable recommendations for process enhancements, leveraging best practices and industry standards.
- Advise leadership on strategies for streamlining operations, improving productivity, and reducing costs.
- Execution and Implementation:
- Lead the design, planning, and execution of business process transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource requirements for successful implementation.
- Collaborate with teams to pilot, test, and refine new processes and workflows.
- Change Management:
- Drive change adoption by providing training, communication, and support to employees impacted by process improvements.
- Monitor progress and measure the impact of implemented changes to ensure sustainable outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Establish metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of new processes.
- Identify ongoing opportunities for further optimization and scaling of successful practices.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business process analysis, improvement, and transformation.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Economics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex initiatives on time and within budget.
- Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering insights to senior executives.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis, project management, and business modeling tools.
- Experience with change management and organizational design is a plus.
- Scrum and PMP certifications are considered an asset.
