Now hiring! Brand Manager - Cereals - Fungicides and In-Crop Herbicides Calgary, AB (Hybrid) We are looking for a Brand Manager - Cereals - Fungicides and In-Crop Herbicides to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Calgary, AB.

The Sr. Brand Manager – Cereal Fungicides and In-Crop Herbicides is responsible for the brand strategy of Nexicor, Twinline, Sphaerex and Altitude FX3 as it relates to the overall crop solution campaign, ensuring the annual product-on-ground (POG) budgets are achieved as well as managing the associated campaigns for the applicable products as it pertains to advertising, sales and promotion. This specific role will also have the responsibility of completing a five month term backfilling in the Cereal Seed Treatment and Pre-Seed Herbicide Portfolio for the first 5 months of the role. This opportunity provides the ability to be mentored with the team and transition into a strong full time contributor.

- Owning and leading the development of brand campaigns within the Cereal crop solutions portfolio by collaborating closely with the Cereal and Pulse Market Manager, Technical Service, Sales, and Customer Solutions Team (CXT) to deliver effective campaigns for growers, retailers, and retail agronomists.
- Supporting the sales organization through clear brand messaging, positioning, and alignment of commercial activities with overall marketing strategy.
- Supporting portfolio profitability by assisting the Cereal and Pulse Market Manager with forecasting, financial planning, lifecycle management, competitive insights, and long-term resource planning aligned with 10-year business objectives.
- Acting as the brand champion for Cereal Crop Protection products, ensuring consistent positioning across crops while aligning brands with BASF Canada’s overall go-to-market strategy and product launch excellence (PLE) processes.
- Leading Fungicides lifecycle management (LCM) in Canada, collaborating with regional marketing teams on new project concepts, business case development, and coordination with fungicide and herbicide molecule teams.
- Coordinating and integrating brand campaigns internally across Sales, CST, and Marketing teams and externally with channel partners, while providing coaching and mentorship as appropriate.
- Supporting market program development and participating in Head Office customer strategy meetings to strengthen commercial alignment and execution.
- Collaborating with the Cereal and Pulse Manager and CST teams to support annual financial and accrual budget development and contribute to long-term forecasting and planning activities.
If you have...
- A Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of full-time experience in sales and/or marketing roles, preferably within the agricultural industry.
- Strong understanding of marketing, sales, and customer relationship management principles.
- Knowledge of growers, distributors, agronomy practices, and the crop protection industry.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with a proven track record of achieving goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including listening, presenting, writing, teamwork, and the ability to lead or influence teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel across Canada as business needs require.
