As a Product Engineer, you’llprovide technical engineering support to the operations team, ensure adherence to flight and product safety standards, and drive continuous improvement to enhance quality, reliability, and turnaround time. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product safety, reliability, and compliance while improving production efficiency and quality.

What you’ll do

Provide day-to-day engineering support to production for assigned products and processes and liaise with manufacturers to resolve technical issues.

Assist in developing matrix routings to manage material flow throughout production processes.

Develop, document, and maintain procedures, work instructions, and other process documentation.

Provide technical guidance and process-related training to production and support personnel.

Analyze production and repair processes to improve quality, efficiency, and turnaround time through data analysis and cost evaluation.

Investigate equipment, tooling, and process deficiencies and implement corrective actions to reduce variation and improve reliability.

Develop and implement new product repair processes, including planning and conducting repair trials and evaluating new equipment or tooling through cost-benefit analysis.

Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, and vendors to implement new repairs, processes, and product improvements while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and support special projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with manufacturing methods, shop equipment, and machining processes, demonstrated through hands-on work or completed projects.
  • Experience reviewing and applying technical documentation, including company work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and OEM manuals, to perform assigned technical tasks.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, evidenced by completion of manufacturing, repair, inspection, or maintenance tasks requiring drawing interpretation.
  • Ability to read and communicate technical information in English, demonstrated through documentation review, reporting, or technical collaboration.
  • Where applicable, registration with the relevant regulatory body or professional association is required.

  • Strong analytical and root cause problem-solving skills.
  • Planning, organizational, leadership, and decision-making abilities demonstrated through project work or team collaboration.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation, reporting, and training.
  • Knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and repair methodologies is an asset.
  • Experience with precision measurement instruments.
  • Experience with company operating system environments or production management systems (e.g. ERP) is an asset.
  • Project management experience in engineering or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement or lean manufacturing methodologies.
