A place where you can take your career in the direction you want to grow and go The Opportunity: Reporting to the Director, Finance, the Manager, FP&A Supply and Trading will lead a group that will be responsible for the forecasting, budgeting, and analysis of Sunoco’s Supply and Trading Canada segment. This candidate will need the ability to operate in a fast -paced, collaborative environment and will work closely with our Accounting, Operations, Commercial, and Supply and Trading groups. This candidate must have a broad base of knowledge in financial planning and analysis, be proficient in leading group discussions and presenting financial results. The Manager, FP&S, will be responsible for developing meaningful financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful and accurate business decision-making. Responsibilities: This position will individually contribute and supervise a group to achieve the following objectives: Preparation of the annual budget. Position will be required to supervise this process from start to finish and collaborate with the Director of FP&A in the presentation of this budget to senior leadership. Prepare and update the long-term forecast periodically throughout the year. Prepare and report monthly results. This reporting package will be presented to financial, commercial, and operational leadership monthly. Preparation of this report will require updating the annual forecast monthly. Prepare and update weekly forecast in collaboration with the FP&A team members and Director, Finance Performance of this function will require this position to maintain a close productive relationship with Accounting, Financial Reporting, Insurance, Tax, Commercial, and Operational groups. Preparation of monthly and quarterly analysis reporting package that will be presented to financial, commercial, and operational leadership. Support the Director, Finance in responding to requests from internal and external stakeholders. Participate in team objectives of maximizing efficiencies with reporting, automation, and optimization. Partner cross-functionally with various teams to manage priorities including organizational change initiatives. Lead, coach, and develop a high performing team with a focus on providing opportunities to grow and clarifying evolving priorities while helping to remove roadblocks. Provide support of our TM1 production and development environments supporting multiple users, maintaining existing dimensions and managing user access/security Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below: Degree in Business, Finance or Economics would be a strong asset. Professional accounting designation (CPA) preferred. 10 to 15 years of relevant, progressive experience including leadership roles Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to think outside of the box, deal with ambiguity, exercise good judgement and challenge information. Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to lead difficult conversations Curious mindset including a strong interest in understanding the underlying business and providing support to the Operations teams in financial and operational decision-making (customer service attitude). Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate analysis into meaningful insights and recommendations. Demonstrated ability to improve processes, work collaboratively and embrace new ways of doing things. Advanced excel, data analysis and financial modelling skills. Strong understanding of financial systems and processes; experience with SAP, Hyperion, One-Stream, Power BI, JDE and Great Plains would be a strong asset. Effective team leader with the ability to motivate, coach and develop upcoming talent. Proven project management skills. Highly motivated and energetic self-starter with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced and continually evolving work environment.
