About The Position Reporting to the Centre Director acts as an integral member of the Kids & Company team who is responsible for assisting the day-to-day operations of a specific childcare center through the conscientious application of Kids & Company standards to achieve our mission statement: to provide quality primary and backup childcare services conveniently located near our children’s parent’s place of work. We aim to assist corporations in creating a healthy work/life balance.
Responsibilities
- Support children’s emotional, physical, and behavioral well being; while helping to develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills
- Maintain documentation, reporting, and record keeping
- Implement an Emergent Curriculum
- Maintain attendance, and health and safety checks
- Work with professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as necessary
- Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms
- Meet all classroom ratios as outlined in CCEYA
- Participate and help lead staff meetings and workshops
- Assistant the Centre Director with child/ staff files and other ministry requirements.
What You Need
- Registered with the College of ECE’s and in good standing
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal reference check
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
- Immunization records up to date / two-step TB test.
- Ability to push, pull and lift up- to 45 pounds
