Our Parks, Recreation and Culture team is seeking enthusiastic and customer service driven individuals to join us as Guest Services Assistants, where you’ll play a key role in creating exceptional guest experiences by delivering warm, efficient service at the hotel within Christine Sinclair Community Centre. Responsibilities will include managing check‑ins and check‑outs, confirming room reservations, processing customer registrations and payments, and responding to guest inquiries with confidence and professionalism. In this role, you’ll also handle routine booking requests, maintain accurate cash and card transaction balances, and collaborate closely with internal hotel staff to ensure service standards are upheld and every guest’s needs are met. Working within established procedures and supported by a supervisor who values accuracy, efficiency, and outstanding service, you’ll help shape smooth, memorable stays for every visitor who walks through the doors. Performs related work as required.

Our ideal candidate will have completion of Grade 12 including or supplemented by standard commercial courses and some related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You should have sound knowledge of the processes, policies, procedures and service offerings related to the work performed. You have the ability to operate a cash register and standard office equipment used in the work and to process payments, receive money and issue change accurately and promptly; deal effectively and courteously with the public, to provide information, and to effectively assist a diverse range of guests to the hotel; perform data entry with accuracy and routine clerical tasks related to the work; and operate under pressure and exercise problem-solving when addressing guest concerns. A class 5 Driver’s License for the Province of British Columbia is required.

Pay Rate:$26.18 per hour + 12% in lieu of benefits (2024 Rates)
$28.05 per hour + 12% in lieu of benefits (2026 Rates)

**Location:**Christine Sinclair Community Centre

**Hours of work:**This is an auxiliary position, hours and shifts are based on operational requirements and do not provide guaranteed hours of work, which may include on-call shifts. Typical shifts may vary between the hours of 5:00 AM to 2:00 AM, Monday to Sunday.
