The Greater Essex County District School Board invites applications from qualified, team-oriented individuals for the full-time position of Supervisor of Psychological and Speech/Language Services. This is a permanent 12-month, Non-Bargaining position within the Special Education Department.
Job Summary
LOCATION: Administration Building (must be able to travel to various school locations when required)
POSITION: Supervisor of Psychological and Speech/Language Services
FTE: 1.0 (35 hours per week)
RATE OF PAY: $116,625 to $137,282
START DATE: August 24, 2026
HOURS OF WORK : 8:00am- 4:00pm

Nature & Scope Of Position
The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Superintendent of Special Education.
Specific Duties And Responsibilities Include
All elements of supervision, including coordination of services, recruitment and discipline. Assessment of individual students (modest caseload). Providing clinical supervision as required by the Ontario College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. Evaluation of performance of all psychological and speech/language services personnel. Working collaboratively with inter disciplinary staff. Providing consultation services to school staff, special education teachers, families and outside agencies on a wide variety of topics including the mental health of all children. Assisting with system staff development initiatives. Manage the Client Management System. Coordinate with the Supervisor of Social Work Services Crisis Response and Violent Threat Risk responses. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
The successful applicant will possess:
A minimum of five years of progressive experience in the psychology field. A Doctor of Psychology degree from an accredited university A provincial professional certification through the College of Psychologists and Behavioural Analysts of Ontario. Advanced training in assessment and counselling. Excellent team leadership skills. Superior and demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. A thorough understanding of all relevant legislation and standards of practice. A system perspective. Skills related to the use of technology (digital assessments etc.). Supervisory experience is an asset.
