Alder, a Michelin-recommended restaurant from the acclaimed Alo Food Group (Alo, Aloette, Alobar), located inside the dynamic Ace Hotel Toronto, is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience.
We’re looking for a hands-on leader who brings strong service instincts, operational confidence, and a genuine passion for hospitality. Someone who leads with authenticity, builds strong teams, and ensures every detail — from pre-shift to final check — reflects the Ace experience.
The Role The Restaurant Manager oversees daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service, strong team performance, and a welcoming guest environment. Working closely with Food & Beverage leadership, this role supports staffing, training, scheduling, and service standards while helping drive profitability and operational consistency.
What You’ll Do Lead day-to-day restaurant operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences Supervise, coach, and support service teams Manage scheduling, payroll approvals, and shift operations Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate service priorities Monitor service standards, cleanliness, and operational readiness Resolve guest concerns and maintain positive guest relationships Support inventory management and operational systems (POS updates, supplies, equipment) Partner with F&B leadership to maintain high performance and team culture
What You Bring 3+ years of restaurant leadership experience Strong understanding of service standards and restaurant operations Excellent communication and team leadership skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability Smart Serve certification required Alignment with Ace Hotel’s culture of creativity, collaboration, and hospitality
