Based in central Ottawa, Ashbury College is currently seeking a full-time Summer Camp Manager for a period of approximately 2 months to oversee daily operations and staff for the Summer 2026 camp program, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and enriching experience for all campers. Program dates: June 15 – July 24, 2026, with daily hours from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with two 1-hour breaks.
This leadership role combines operational planning, staff management, and program coordination to help foster an outstanding summer community.
Minimum Requirements
- Post-Secondary student or older
- Demonstrated leadership and youth engagement experience
- High-Five Training or equivalent (or willingness to be trained)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related camp software
- Valid driver's license
- Current Advanced First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to be trained)
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership and youth engagement experience
- Excellent communication skills in English and French (asset)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
- Advanced decision-making and crisis response skills
- Strong planning, organization, and customer service abilities
- Willingness to foster a fun, engaging experience for campers of all ages
Specific Responsibilities Include:

Attend and participate in mandatory pre-summer Camp Manager meetings and orientation

Collaborate with the summer administration team for equipment, supply, and facility management

Maintain and enforce camp policies and incident reporting procedures

Monitor compliance with all safety, health, and program standards

Responsible for program area setup and cleanup at the start and end of camp
-
Support ongoing training and mentoring of camp staff

Actively promote camp values and community standards
