BOXX Modular (Canada) rents, leases and sells temporary and permanent modular buildings, including standard buildings ready for immediate delivery and custom-designed solutions. We work with our customers to design and deliver customized solutions, and provide additional services such as delivery and installation, furniture rentals and other add-ons.

BOXX Modular is looking for an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist in Calgary, AB. This role is in office with 20% flexibility to work from home. The Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of our accounts receivable process. This role is critical to maintaining strong cash flow, accurate financial reporting, and excellent customer relationships within our modular construction business.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable professional with strong invoicing, reconciliation, and collections experience. They communicate effectively with customers and internal teams, ensuring accurate billing, strong cash flow, and smooth financial operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Process and manage customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues.
• Maintain accurate AR records and documentation in the accounting system.
• Work with Master Data team to ensure customer information accuracy, including information held within the Customer Relationship Management tool (Salesforce).
• Work with the business and Treasury in ensuring customers have proper credit limits.
• Collaborate with project managers, sales, and operations teams to ensure invoicing aligns with contracts, project milestones, and deliveries.
• Assist in month-end and year-end financial close processes related to AR.
• Generate and distribute AR reports for management review, when required.
• Support audits and internal controls related to accounts receivable.
• Identify process improvements to streamline billing and collections.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or modular building industries.
• Strong knowledge of AR processes, invoicing, and reconciliation.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or similar).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with internal teams and customers.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and compliance requirements.
