West Parry Sound Health Centre (WPSHC) has always employed an innovative planning approach aimed at integrating services. Faced with the challenges of rural care delivery, WPSHC has partnered in regional alliances and created internal programming solutions that have benefited patient care and improved services throughout the catchment area.
Today our uniquely integrated health care organization includes Lakeland Long Term Care, six Nursing Stations delivering care to rural communities, management of District ambulance services and dispatch, and a full range of in-patient and out-patient programs associated with a 90-bed acute care hospital.

About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Registered Dietitianto join our interdisciplinary team of skilled professionals. Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, the Registered Dietitian (RD) provides evidence-based nutrition care across inpatient hospital units and may also provide long-term care (LTC) support and services when required. The RD completes comprehensive assessments, develops individualized care plans, and monitors outcomes to support patient and resident safety, recovery, and quality of life. In the inpatient setting, the RD manages a diverse clinical caseload, including oral, enteral, and parenteral nutrition, and collaborates with medical and allied health teams to optimize patient care. The RD also plays a key role in planning, managing, and coordinating the organization’s Clinical Nutrition Services, ensuring consistent, high-quality, and person-centred nutrition care. Responsibilities include supporting acute-care teams, meeting legislated LTC requirements when applicable, and providing education to patients, residents, families, and staff to promote nutrition knowledge and safe feeding practices.

More About You
Basic Requirements
- Successful completion of a university level degree in Nutrition and Food Science.
- Successful completion of an approved dietetic internship.
- Eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills required to teach patients, families, and health care providers.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and the maintenance of high professional standards.
- Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, performance levels, disciplinary history, and positive work references.
- Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the core values of the West Parry Sound Health Centre: Compassion, Accountability, Rights and Responsibilities, Excellence, and Safety.
Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as a clinical dietitian in a multi-disciplinary health care setting.
