Job Description
Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager and in collaboration with the Program Coordinator, Clinical Lead and Professional Practice Leader, and as a member of the Outpatient Rehabilitation team, the physiotherapist will provide quality physiotherapy services within a client-centered framework to all MSK outpatient rehabilitative services (i.e. Post-surgical - acute, sub-acute orthopedic/surgical patients, fracture clinic, bundle care (knees, hips, shoulders, etc.), WSIB specialized care program, Neuro department, etc.
Accountabilities:

Work with the patients/families and other team members to assess and treat patients, optimizing independence and recovery
-
Provide education and consultation to patients, their families, team members and community partners as appropriate
-
Practice in accordance with the physiotherapy standards of practice and code of ethics as outlined by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
Qualifications
-
MSc Physiotherapy or equivalent
-
Registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
-
Recent experience providing physiotherapy in an ambulatory care setting
-
Experience with assessment and treatment of patients post total knee/hip replacement required
-
Experience with assessment and treatment of orthopaedic injuries, neurological conditions, WSIB population
-
Experience supervising physiotherapy assistants
-
Knowledge of evidence-based clinical practice related to surgical patients
-
Demonstrated leadership ability within a multi-disciplinary team
-
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of an inter-professional patient care team
-
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with excellent time management and organizational skills required
-
Experience with virtual care
-
Computer literacy
-
Strong abilities to prioritize patient caseload to meet the needs of the referral volumes in a busy acute care setting
-
Flexibility in caseload and program assignment
-
Strong computer skills to support necessary documentation requirement for all patient groups
-
Experience in provision of relief coverage during planned and unplanned vacation/absences
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills required
-
Proven record of good attendance and punctuality

Will be required to travel between and work at all hospital campuses, including weekend coverage

Hours: Currently Days/Evenings (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
Salary:
Minimum: $41.73 per hour
Maximum: $54.79 per hour
