Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Payroll Administrator to manage the accurate and timely processing of payroll across multiple companies and provinces. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Workday and a solid understanding of Canadian payroll regulations, including the nuances of multi-provincial payroll.
Compensation: $65K to $70K per annum depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly/bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll for employees across multiple companies and provinces, some unionized.
- Manage and ensure compliance with provincial payroll laws, taxes, benefits, and deductions.
- Utilize Workday for payroll processing, ensuring accurate input of employee data, timekeeping, and compensation adjustments.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records in Workday.
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies, including tax filings and benefits-related issues.
- Ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions to the appropriate authorities.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reports.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
- Assist with the preparation and auditing of year-end reports and T4/T4A slips.
- Stay up to date with changes in payroll legislation and best practices across all provinces.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in payroll administration with multi-provincial payroll experience.
- Strong proficiency in Workday payroll system.
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations and tax laws across multiple provinces.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other payroll-related software.
- Certification in Payroll (e.g., PCP, CPM) is preferred.
