About the role

Learning Experience Designer (Remote within Canada)

Reporting to the Vice President of Product Management, the key focus of the Learning Experience Designer is to ensure that Multiview provides quality enablement for clients and internal users based on best practices. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to develop and execute plans to initially train and then support the continued proficiency of users of our software. This will include developing individualized and group training plans to meet established business requirements.

This role is suited to an individual who has supported teams with the design and delivery of customized training plans. Your ability to apply adult learning principles and best practices to our business and our clients’ specific use cases and requirements will make you an ideal candidate.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Assume the role of enablement leader across all areas of the organization. It is the Learning Experience Designer’s mandate to plan, review, and improve all client enablement content, delivery methods, and strategies, regardless of who in the organization is creating or delivering enablement content.
  • Understand our users and products to determine user enablement needs
  • Ensure all clients/users are enabled to use our products effectively and efficiently. The Learning Experience Designer owns this activity
  • Determine best enablement methods for both new and existing users based on adult learning principles and best practices as applied to our users
  • Design, prepare, and plan documentation and training strategies to drive better client adoption and outcomes. These include, but aren’t limited to: webinars, virtual training, on-site training, in-person classes, conferences, etc.
  • Determine content and resource requirements for enabling new and existing users
  • Identify gaps in existing content
  • Maintain up-to-date content
  • Create project plans and monitor progress toward delivering content
  • Own delivery platforms (Learning platform (Learn Upon) and Knowledge Base, others TBD)
  • Ensure consistency and cohesiveness of all enablement content
  • Promote and encourage the adoption of established resources to support continual client learning
  • As a secondary focus, facilitate product training for internal users
  • Determine and report against success metrics
  • Improve courses and content as necessary based on success metrics and feedback and recommendations

COMPETENCIES PORTFOLIO:

  • Technical Skills – Professional experience using training software in an ERP setting, for example, content authoring tools, Learning Management Systems, video production tools, and instructor-led formats. The incumbent must be comfortable explaining and teaching technical terms and concepts to others.
  • Problem-solving – Proactive in anticipating and resolving problems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop solutions are required.
  • Initiative – Seeks, accepts, and completes new tasks using own initiative; works independently with little supervision.
  • Communication – The ideal candidate will be a skilled written and verbal communicator and can address different audiences using appropriate language to communicate their meaning clearly and efficiently, including on challenging topics.
  • Interpersonal Skills – Ability to effectively coach, train, communicate and work with colleagues.
  • Organization – Ability to handle multiple deliverables simultaneously to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks to ensure clients have access to all available resources.
  • Teamwork – works with multiple teams cross-functionally and must know how to effectively address the needs of each team while always keeping the clients’ outcomes as the primary objective.

YOU ARE SOMEONE WHO HAS:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field of study (preferred).
  • Previous client-facing training experience, preferably in the software industry.
  • Self-motivation and enthusiasm, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly as it relates to explaining both simple and complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning concepts/theories, training development techniques, and best practices.
  • Knowledge in accreditation-based training and implementation would be considered a strong asset.
  • Experience working and managing a learning management system would be considered an asset.
  • Strong software & technology aptitude and literacy, preferably with ERP software.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience working on a multi resource project team balancing milestones and objectives efficiently.
  • Ability to thrive in a high paced, complex team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products and teleconferencing solutions (i.e. Zoom, WebEx, etc.)

WHAT WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE

  • 3+ year experience in Software as a Service company is considered an asset.
  • United States healthcare experience is considered an asset.
