About the role

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Bilingual HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team.

In this role, you will support employees and leaders playing a hands‑on role in onboarding new employees, and providing day‑to‑day HR support. You will contribute directly to a positive employee experience while helping ensure our HR processes support safe, respectful, and effective operations across our network.

Working closely with the HR team, this role supports employee relations, responds to employee inquiries, and assists with HR initiatives and events. If you are an organized, service‑oriented HR professional who enjoys variety, building relationships, and supporting the people behind the operation, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact at Midland.

  • Support new hire onboarding, including preparing documentation and coordinating orientation activities.

  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries related to benefits, HR policies, programs, and Workday processes, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

  • Serve as the Wellness Representative, supporting employee wellness initiatives through communications, wellness reimbursements, and related programs.

  • Coordinate travel arrangements for the HR team and recruitment candidates.

  • Provide HR Business Partner coverage for Quebec and Ontario during vacation and planned absences.

  • Maintain and update HR documentation, including policies, organizational charts, and training records.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an HR support or coordination role within a fast‑paced, service‑oriented environment.

  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

  • Resourceful and proactive, with the ability to research issues, problem‑solve, and work independently.

  • Bilingual- English and French
