Position Overview:
Reporting into the Vice President, Talent Development the Fund Accounting & Transformation Training Manager is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving training programs that enable the successful execution of the Accounting Transformation initiative. This includes supporting the migration from legacy systems to the Eagle Accounting system and facilitating the adoption of a new operating model within the Fund Accounting team, with a particular focus on Net Asset Value (NAV) Operations and NAV Construction. The Training Manager ensures all team members are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and tools required to perform accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards throughout the transformation. This role collaborates closely with operational leaders, subject matter experts, and transformation teams to align training with business objectives, drive continuous improvement, and ensure a smooth transition to new systems and ways of working.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with transformation teams to identify training needs related to new processes, technologies, and efficiency initiatives
- Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive training program for Fund Accountants, Supervisors, and Managers, with a focus on NAV Operations, NAV Construction, reconciliation, and fund accounting processes
- Support the rollout of process improvements by developing and delivering targeted training sessions
- Ensure training content reflects current policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and best practices
- Create and maintain training materials, manuals, and e-learning modules
- Gather feedback from trainees and stakeholders to refine training programs and support continuous improvement
- Work closely with Fund Accounting Managers, Supervisors, Fund Accountants, and other internal departments (e.g., NAV Operations, Derivatives, BNY) to ensure training aligns with operational realities and business goals
- Facilitate regular communication and feedback loops with operational leaders to assess training effectiveness and evolving needs
- Ensure all training programs reinforce compliance with internal controls, regulatory standards, and audit requirements
- Monitor and report on training effectiveness, knowledge retention, and impact on operational KPIs such as accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Deliver coaching, training, and guidance as a subject matter expert on the training program within the Fund Accounting team
- Partners with and motivates team members fostering a culture of feedback through clear and open communication
Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent experience in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Psychology
- 5+ years of experience in developing training strategies to support internal business and/or skill-specific learning
- Experience in Fund Accounting/ Financial services is a strong asset
- Advanced knowledge of office productivity software, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Advanced knowledge of Eagle Accounting or similar fund accounting platforms
- Experience with e-learning platforms and training content development tools
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience in process improvement, change management, and stakeholder engagement
