What is the opportunity?
Wealth Management Canada (WMC) is committed to building the future of advice in Canada—one that empowers advisors, enhances client outcomes, and strengthens RBC’s leadership in delivering holistic wealth solutions to High-Net-Worth and Ultra-High-Net-Worth clients.
As a Senior Manager within the WMC Business Strategy team, you will be a critical contributor to shaping, informing, and executing the strategic priorities that advance WMC’s multi-year transformation agenda. Working with business stakeholders, digital, data, advisor platforms, client experience, and operations teams, you will help define the strategic vision, assess opportunities, build business cases, and drive the execution of initiatives that strengthen RBC’s position as the market leader.
You will combine structured strategic thinking with exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration—bridging business, technology, digital, and data teams to accelerate innovation, modernize our advisor & client platforms, and advance our AI-enabled future.
What will you do?
STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT + FUTURE VISION
- Contribute to the articulation of WMC’s enterprise and capability-level strategy, including our portfolio management, money movement, reporting, onboarding, and business operating roadmaps.
- Develop clear strategic narratives and point-of-view materials on where the wealth industry is heading, how RBC must evolve, and the implications for investments, platforms, and business model choices across multiple lines of business.
- Translate complex business problems and emerging opportunities into structured hypotheses, recommendations, and actionable strategic pathways.
- Develop and maintain consistent financial and executive leadership reporting portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder needs.
MARKET INTELLIGENCE + RESEARCH
- Lead competitive, global wealth, and emerging technology scanning—identifying trends, benchmarks, risks, and whitespace opportunities relevant to advisors, clients, and the Canadian regulatory environment.
- Produce synthesized insights, thought leadership, and executive-ready materials that inform strategic decisions across WMC and influence senior leadership.
OPPORTUNITY ANALYSIS + BUSINESS CASES
- Develop business cases, financial models, benefit assumptions, and size-of-prize analyses to support investment decisions across advisor experience, client reporting, data platforms, and ecosystem partnerships.
- Assess the impact of strategic initiatives on advisor productivity, NIBT growth, AUA per advisor, scalable operating models, and recruitment & retention.
COLLABORATION + INFLUENCE
- Partner closely with senior leaders, Digital & Data, Wealth Management Technology, Finance, and cross-LOB teams to build alignment on strategic direction and ensure seamless execution.
- Act as a key liaison between business and technology teams—translating strategic intent into roadmap requirements, sequencing decisions, and operating model recommendations.
WORKSHOPS + FACILITATION
- Lead structured problem-solving workshops, design sessions, and strategy co-creation forums with advisors, executives, business partners, and enterprise stakeholders.
- Develop future-state journey maps, capability models, and operating model designs to align partners on direction and execution requirements.
COMMUNICATION + STORYTELLING
- Create compelling, concise executive presentations that clearly communicate strategic recommendations, risks, investment implications, and strategic value.
- Present strategy updates, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership forums across WMC and the broader enterprise.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-haves

- Strategic, analytical thinker capable of navigating ambiguity, framing complex problems, and delivering clear recommendations.
- Strong understanding of the wealth management landscape, including advisor business models, client expectations, regulatory considerations, and emerging technology trends.
- Experience developing business cases, strategic frameworks, and multi-year roadmaps.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across technology, digital, data, and business partners in a large, complex organization.
- Ability to move seamlessly from long-term visioning to detailed execution planning.
- Strong organizational and relationship-building skills; able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
Nice-to-have
- Undergraduate degree required; MBA or graduate degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or digital/technology strategy roles.
- Experience in digital wealth platforms, advisor technology, data strategy, or AI strategy.
- Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies, roadmap planning, and capability modelling.
- Experience preparing executive-level materials for senior leadership committees.
What’s in it for you?
- Opportunity to shape the future of digital wealth management at Canada’s leading wealth franchise.
- A dynamic, collaborative, and high-performing team that values innovation, insight, and impact.
- Leaders who support your growth through coaching, mentorship, and exposure to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work on high-visibility, enterprise-level initiatives that influence the advisor and client experience across RBC Wealth Management.
- Competitive Total Rewards package, including bonuses, flexible benefits, and opportunities for career progression.
