We are looking for an Intermediate Quality Assurance Analyst who will be working on legacy web applications testing as well as testing of newly created solutions in various environments, from .NET to various flavors of JavaScript frameworks. Role includes automation scripts and workflows testing as well. Successful candidate will be required to participate in daily standup meetings, provide feedback and contribute with process improvements as well as understand business and technical requirements for existing and new solutions. Candidate will be working closely with developers, analysts, project/product managers and internal/external stakeholders.
This position is currently open and reflects a replacement position due to an internal transfer, promotion, or departure.
The salary range for this position is $54,000 - $67,000 commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. This range is provided to ensure clarity and promote equitable access to employment opportunities.
Responsibilities When your actions lead to success: The incumbent will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Perform QA testing on different types of solutions (legacy and newly developed, from web, console and API applications to automation scripts)
- Produce test cases that are reusable and of high quality
- Create high quality automation test scripts that can be used for Web, API and other types of solutions
- Provide detailed feedback and work in JIRA on ticket creation reporting bugs, suggesting product enhancements and optimizations
- Hands on mobile devices testing (smartphones and tablet devices) of company proprietary solutions with high degree of attention to detail is required
- Liaise with architects, Leads, Business Analysts, and Project Managers to define software requirements; and to assess feasibility of solution within time constraints
- Create implementation instructions and support application deployments
- Follow industry standards in quality assurance
Qualifications When your expertise drives us: Mandatory
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT related field
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in QA testing
- Experience with JIRA and QA test case software such as TestRail
- Knowledge of testing software such as jMeter, BrowserStack, PostMan etc.
- Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks Selenium or Playwright
- Knowledge of JavaScript and scripting languages such as Python are required
- Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL, MS SQL or Oracle DB
- Familiarity with Visual Studio Code or other scripting IDEs
- Excellent analytical problem diagnosis, investigation and solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to learn and adapt to high paced environment where a candidate is required to often switch from one project to another
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written required (ability to receive and provide feedback a must)
- Ability to work well in a team environment and under tight deadlines is a must
- Demonstrated proficiency in user experience–driven testing
Desirable
- Results-oriented with a disciplined approach to documentation
- Bilingual in English & French a strong asset
- Will work best in a flexible generalist environment with a broad scope of application – AGILE methodology experience an asset
- Knowledge of Confluence is an asset.
