About the role

Canam Tools, a Division of the Arlen Group is seeking an experienced Full-Time Boring Mill Machinist to fill an open position on our CNC machining team. This role involves setting up, programming and operating horizontal boring mill equipment to produce high-quality precision components. This is a permanent, full-time position with steady work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, program and operate horizontal boring mill
  • Machine to tight tolerances
  • Select appropriate tooling, calculate speeds and feeds, and perform adjustments as required
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Work collaboratively to meet production schedules Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience operating horizontal boring mill machines
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments
  • Experience machining large or complex parts
  • Ability to work independently and safely Assets
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controller
  • Forklift or crane experience
  • Trade certification or completed apprenticeship Schedule & Compensation
  • Full-time, permanent employment – NO STEADY DAY SHIFT AVAILABLE
  • Overtime as required and paid after 40 hours worked
  • Starting wage: $27.00+/hour depending on experience
