New BIA Counsellor Role Open! (Remote)
Agilus is recruiting for a BIA Counsellor in the Insolvency Sector .
Are you a Licensed BIA with a passion for helping individuals regain financial control? We’re looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented BIA Counselor to join our clients team. In this role, you’ll guide clients through mandatory insolvency counseling sessions, helping them understand their financial situation and build a sustainable plan for the future. This is a fully remote opportunity, with the flexibility to work from any of our offices if preferred.
A Typical Day
- Conduct mandatory insolvency counseling sessions via phone or Zoom.
- Review and analyze clients’ budgets, income, and savings to help them manage their finances effectively.
- Schedule and complete two mandatory counseling sessions: First session: 30–60 days after signing. Second session: 7 months in.
- Ensure clients attend scheduled sessions; missed appointments may result in court involvement and delay discharge.
- Provide a Letter of Compliance at the end of the consumer proposal process.
You Bring
- Licensed BIA (Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act) Counsellor.
- Minimum 2–3 years of recent experience in financial counseling.
- Proficiency with Ascend software.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
