TITLE: Payroll Officer STATUS: 1.00 FTE – Temporary-Full time

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Payroll Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining compliance with
policies, and overseeing payroll reconciliations, deductions, and Records of Employment (ROEs). This position also
supports staffing and scheduling operations, collaborating with managers to create and maintain accurate departmental
schedules. You will play a key role in maintaining confidentiality, supporting system improvements, and ensuring payroll
integrity within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
(Education; Experience/Training; Knowledge; Licenses/Certificates; Membership Requirements)

Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification in good standing with the Canadian Payroll Association

2–3 years of full-cycle payroll experience

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient in payroll systems including QHR, Logibec, HRIS platforms, or equivalent payroll software
- Solid understanding of collective agreements, benefits administration, and payroll legislation
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Exhibits a strong sense of accountability in all aspects of work and decision-making
Hours per shift: 7.75 Current shift pattern: Days – Monday -Friday
Commencement Date: TBD
PAY RATE: As per Terms and Conditions
