Who You Are
We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on leader who thrives in a
fast-paced manufacturing environment to join our Metal Manufacturing Team. As a Production Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the Metal Production department, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. You will play a pivotal part in achieving our production goals and maintaining a productive workforce.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and mentor production staff to ensure they meet production targets while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the production planning team to schedule and prioritize production orders, ensuring on-time delivery of products.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to maintain product quality and minimize defects.
- Allocate resources, including personnel and equipment, efficiently to optimize production output.
- Ensure all employees follow safety protocols and participate in safety training programs to maintain a safe and accident-free workplace.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Monitor and manage raw materials and finished goods inventory to ensure adequate supplies for production.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including output, downtime, and quality, and analyze data to make data-driven decisions.
- Foster a positive work environment by providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
- Address and resolve any employee issues or conflicts that may arise within the production team.
- Work with cross functional teams to remedy immediate issues and holistic root-cause solutions.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Metal production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles. Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to think logically, analytically, and solve problems.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced high stress environment.
- Accountable, and able to make decisions independently.
- Able to self-manage time based on scheduled workload.
