About the role
What you will do: Part-Time (Contract Ending January 15, 2026)
Wage - $17.85 per hour
Our Restaurant Hosts are an integral part of the team, committed to providing an exceptional experience to every guest. Their responsibilities include welcoming guests upon arrival, seating them at a table, and managing reservations. They must also ensure a warm and positive first impression, often by handling phone calls for reservations and assisting in coordination between the service and kitchen teams. Presentation, communication, and organizational skills are essential for this role.
In this role, your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Receiving and recording guest reservations and assigning tables.
- Greeting guests at the entrance of the dining room, restaurant, or lounge and escorting them to tables or other seating areas.
- Staying familiar with the composition of all menu items.
- Speaking with guests to ensure their satisfaction with food and service and addressing any complaints.
- Accepting guest payments for food, beverages, and games as needed.
- Cleaning designated areas as per downtime procedures, morning/evening routines, and hygiene requirements.
Qualifications This role may be a perfect fit for you if:
- For licensed venues, candidates must be the required age of majority or older
- You have customer service experience (preferably).
- You pay close attention to detail.
- You possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- You have the provincially applicable sell, sale, and handling of alcohol certificate.
