Available Positions Fundraising Coordinator Apply to be the DAN DSC Fundraising Coordinator to plan and execute engaging fundraising events that support council initiatives and foster community within the DAN School. Some responsibilities of the Fundraising Coordinator include ensuring financial viability of events and initiatives, maintaining communication with council leadership, and managing event logistics and budgets.
- In the Fall Semester, the Fundraising Coordinator’s main task is planning council merchandise.
- In the Winter Semester, the Fundraising Coordinators main task is assisting with the Fundraiser, as well as any other events/initiatives that you propose!
- Please note that this is an unpaid position.
- To take on this role, you must be able to attend council training on Sunday, September 14th, and must be free bi-weekly on Saturday’s from 5:30-6:30 PM for regular council meetings. Subject to change.
Equity and Access Representative Apply to be the DAN DSC Equity & Access Representative to promote inclusivity and accessibility within the DAN School. Responsibilities of this role include ensuring that there are communication lines for students to raise any Equity & Access concerns and inquiries to council, attending weekly DAN School Access Committee meetings to remain in-the-know on DAN School student access initiatives and challenges to provide input and report back to council, meeting once a month with DAN School staff who focus on Access & Equity-related issues to provide feedback and work together on goals, and working together with the Year Representatives to create and distribute a Wellness Resource Binder.

Marketing Coordinator Apply to be the DAN Department Student Council Marketing Coordinator to lead all marketing efforts, keeping students informed and engaged with council activities. This role involves planning and executing marketing initiatives, coordinating newsletters, overseeing the Council Instagram both in terms of graphic design and managing posts, and coming up with additional ways to advertise council events—especially when expected attendance is lower than ideal.

Photographer/Videographer Apply to be a DAN Department Student Council Photographer/Videographer to document council events and initiatives! In this position, you will be assigned council events to attend and photograph for council marketing initiatives (an average of 1-2 events per month). You may also optionally choose to run a photography-related council event such as a headshot event.
- To take on this role, you must be able to attend council training on Sunday, September 14th, and must be free bi-weekly on Saturday’s from 5:30-6:30 PM for regular council meetings. Subject to change. DAN DSC Photographers are not required to attend regular council meetings.
Year Representatives (Music and Drama) Join the DAN DSC as a Year Representative! With your Co-Year Rep, you will represent your year's needs and interests at bi-weekly council meetings (by organizing open communication platforms with your year), planning year-bonding events within your allocated council budget, and ensuring that your year feels connected within the DAN School with an awareness of campus resources offered to them.
- To take on this role, you must be able to attend council training on Sunday, September 14th, and must be free bi-weekly on Saturday’s from 5:30-6:30 PM for regular council meetings. Subject to change. First-Year Representatives will be recruited in September.
Musical Theatre Rep Be the voice for Musical Theatre students at the DAN School! As a MT Rep, you will represent the needs and interests of MT Students at bi-weekly council meetings (by organizing open communication platforms with MT students), collaborate with Event Coordinators to ensure event planning caters to MT students, and work to integrate MT students into the broader social DAN community. You will have the chance to propose and organize initiatives that align with MT student’s interests.
- To take on this role, you must be able to attend council training on Sunday, September 14th, and must be free bi-weekly on Saturday’s from 5:30-6:30 PM for regular council meetings. Subject to change.
Media and Performance Production Rep MAPP Rep (Media and Performance Production) (1) - Represent MAPP students at the DAN School as the MAPP Rep! You will advocate for fellow MAPP Student’s needs and interests at bi-council meetings (by organizing open communication platforms with MAPP students), collaborate with Event Coordinators to ensure event planning caters to MAPP students, and ensure MAPP students feel socially connected within the DAN School. You will also have the chance to propose and organize initiatives that enhance the MAPP student experience.
- To take on this role, you must be able to attend council training on Sunday, September 14th, and must be free bi-weekly on Saturday’s from 5:30-6:30 PM for regular council meetings. Subject to change.
DAN Exposition Project Coordinator The DAN Exposition (DAN Expo) is a project overseen by the DAN Department Student Council (DAN DSC) that produces two innovative student-created theatre instalments each year (one in Fall and one in Winter)! Join DAN Expo as a coordinator where you will manage the production: from administration to execution, marketing, and fundraising. You will ensure each production aligns with the DAN student community's needs, always keeping in mind the DAN Expo’s mission: to practise and play with exposing student theatre works by providing learning opportunities for as many interested DAN School students as possible. You will attend DAN DSC student council meetings to keep DAN Expo on track with the goals and needs of the student community (this is absolutely mandatory throughout the year). You will collaborate regularly with the DAN DSC Co-Presidents and work creatively within the production budget provided to you by them, planning additional fundraising events if you choose.

Intern to the Presidents Are you a first-year student eager to get involved with the DAN Department Student Council? Apply to be the Intern to the Presidents! This is a fantastic opportunity to gain insight into student leadership while supporting the Co-Presidents and other council members in day-to-day operations. You’ll assist with a variety of council initiatives, including meeting preparation, administrative tasks, event support, and communication coordination. This role is perfect for someone looking to learn the ropes of student government, build leadership skills, and contribute to the DAN School community.
