The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $67,200 - $88,200. The offered salary will be based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills and qualifications, as well as internal equity considerations.
Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for an analytical and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst to support our Finance & Accounting team. This is a full-time opportunity and will report to the Manager of Financial Operations.
The selected candidate will contribute to the timely and accurate reporting of financial results, in compliance with SOX requirements. They will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure accounts are accurate and up to date.

What You’ll Be Doing Accounts Payable
- Prepare monthly Global Netting payment proposal and clear all related entries on the settlement date
- Validate payment proposals to identify errors, blocked items, deposits, and resolve other discrepancies
- Provide payment remittances to vendors and keep accounts up to date
- Reconcile third‑party interfaces, related‑party accounts, and AP subledgers to General Ledger control accounts
- Complete required regulatory and statistical reporting for wholesale and retail activities
- Perform monthly reconciliations for Russell Farrow duties, TDAA, and TPS gift collections
- Contact vendors to obtain and reconcile statements of accounts
- Provide support for month-end close activities and assist with year-end audit requirements
Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with the Financial Operations team to resolve issues and make necessary corrections related to cheques, payments and entries
- Coordinate with Treasury for timely and accurate payments for month-end
- Work closely with Procurement to maintain and update vendor accounts
- Liaise with business units (BUs) to ensure all cheques are mailed with the required supporting documentation
- Coordinate with BUs to execute GRIR runs for closed purchase orders
- Identify interface errors and work with BUs or Information Services to resolve system issues
What You’ll Bring
- University Degree
- Accounting designation or working towards CPA is a strong asset
- 2-3 years of work-related experience in Accounts Payable
- Experience with an ERP system, preferably SAP
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Understanding of systems, processes and internal controls over financial information
- Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
