**Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Vacancy Status: Future Opportunities

Hourly Rate of Pay: $45.00 to $56.00** Carecor is seeking a passionate and caring Occupational Therapist to support patients within our Transitional Care Units . In this role, you will provide high‑quality assessment, treatment, education, and client management in alignment with professional standards and the expectations of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Working under the direction of your immediate supervisor, you will help clients regain function, independence, and confidence as they transition through their care journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans, including goals and discharge recommendations.
  • Regularly evaluate and adjust treatment programs to align with client progress and changing needs.
  • Maintain accurate, current clinical documentation in accordance with COTO standards, including assessments, goals, interventions, outcomes, and discharge plans.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to support holistic, coordinated care.
  • Communicate treatment strategies, progress updates, and recommendations clearly to clients, families, and caregivers.
  • Provide education to clients and care partners to promote understanding, participation, and successful goal achievement.
  • Observe, guide, and support those assisting with Occupational Therapy programs to ensure safe and appropriate service delivery.

Job Qualifications Our “exemplary standing” with Accreditation Canada is held to the highest regard and is a testament to the fact that we uphold the same hiring standards and patient care delivery as the facilities in which we serve.

  • Bachelor’s or Masters in Occupational Therapy, or an equivalent degree assessed by ACOTRO
  • Minimum 1000 hours of supervised clinical fieldwork.
  • Successful completion of the National Occupational Therapy Certification Examination (NOTCE).
  • Eligibility for registration with COTO and ability to meet currency requirements (recent graduation, practice hours, or refresher program).
  • Professional liability insurance with required endorsements.
  • Membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (required for NLCP active registration).
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Check and ability to practice safely and ethically.
  • Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, pertussis, polio, hepatitis B
  • Proof of negative TB skin tests within the past one year or negative chest x-ray within the past five years
